Hi,
I'm running jdk 1.6u6 32-bit eclipse j2ee 32-bit on windows vista x64 and
all my new project wizards are missing. I've tried running "eclipse.exe
-clean" and it doesn't help. Tried new install of eclipse and jdk and it
doesn't help.

Seems to run fine on my HTPC which is also running vista x64. I'm out of
ideas. Can anyone please help.

Thanks,

-Jay

There is a strange issue when using SetPoint (a mouse
controller/driver) and Eclipse (actually Java) on Vista. It makes some
controls go away, i.e. they are not visible. This has happened on my
system often with wizards, especially in properties and preferences
dialogs. If you have a SetPoint icon in your system tray just stop the
program and try again. Be aware that some OEMs (Dell for instance)
call the SetPoint controller different.

There is a Bugzilla entry at the Eclipse site on this problem.

Thanks for the suggestions, i do have a logitech mouse, but i'm not using
the setpoint software. I also have a fresh install of vista, so no oem
software is running. I also tried unplugging the mouse completely and
using a different mouse and i get the same results. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

-Jay

Jay,

Maybe you aren't using a 5.0 JVM? Try running with -clean -debug and
looking and the Error Log view.

I'm not sure whats going on, but i just tried with the clean and debug
flags via remote desktop (i'm at work) and now its working. When i get
home i'll try it on the actual box and see if it still works or if it's a
remote desktop thing.

Thanks for the help!
