Free UML diagramming / code generating plugin? [message #256501]

I have spent the day looking at the various UML plugins for Eclipse. I
would like to use it for personal use (non-business) to teach myself UML.
My needs are pretty basic. I am only interested in basic class diagrams,
but I would like it to tie in with the code (so either be able to generate
code from a diagram or vice versa, or both). However, I have been unable
to find any UML plugins that offer that for free. Are there any?

Hi,

Do a search for Visual Paradigm.

I used it for my uni disertation. Its free for non-comercial use and is
available as a plugin for various platforms (eclipse is amongst them and
is the one i used).

Bear in mind that it puts a watermark on print-outs.

good thing is that there is an EclipsePlugin called Argo2Ecore which can
convert these diagrams to an Eclipse readable format.

I just went to the Visual Paradigm web site and it doesn't look free. The
cheapest
version is $60.00 plus maintenance. In addition, the Eclipse plugin
seems to be available only with the professional version which costs $700.00
plus
maintenance. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I too have been looking for a
free
UML plugin for Eclipse and have been unable to find one.
