Has anyone managed to install the Smarty plugin into their PDT (LUNA) IDE normally?
I've got it running using JUNO files by using the following steps (sequence is important):
- Using Windows Explorer, delete org.eclipse.php_3.3.0.201406110111 from the features folder of the Eclipse install.
- In Eclipse, install both PHP packages from the Juno repository http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno/
- PHP Development Tools (PDT) 3.1.2.201212211235 and
- PHP Development Tools (PDT) SDK Feature 3.1.1.201209101312
(They are listed under a few sections, I used the last "Web, XML, Java EE and OSGi Enterprise Development"
When you go back to the 'Eclipse Installation Details', you will not see PHP Development Tools (PDT) 3.1.2.201212211235 mentioned.
- Download smartypdt-0_9_1.zip from https://code.google.com/p/smartypdt/downloads/list
Remove the two lines that refer to 'org.eclipse.php 0.0.0' (lines 36 and 134 ) in content.xml file which is contained inside content.jar.
Follow the advice here if you need to.
(You might also need to install the 7zip archiving program for the compressions.)
- In Eclipse, install the Smarty Package using the modified zip file.
- In Eclipse, install the 'Zend CE Features' from http://downloads.zend.com/pdt
Look forward to this getting updated as I'm not thrilled about deleting the v3.3 package.
Cheers,
Dimitri
