Using scripted datasource with hibernate/mysql [message #246116] Tue, 03 July 2007 07:15 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello!

I have a scripted datasource, where I can get data with hibernate and
mysql from a DB. At Birt Version 2.1.2 I have copied a Jar File with my
classes and Hibernate jar and mysql jar into
eclipse33\plugins\org.eclipse.birt.report.viewer_2.2.0.v2007 0620\birt\WEB-INF\lib
and it's working fine!

Now with Version BIRT 2.2 I always got the error NoClassDefFound xxx

So Viewer cannot find MY jar Files??
Same with Chart viewer.

Please, can somebody tell me where to copy my jar files to bring report
viewer and Chart viewer into work again!!

Thanks a lot
Christian

Christian,

This directory should work. Which class is it complaining about?

Jason,

Thanks a lot for reaction.
In meanwhile I found out that there is a problem with some jar files of
hibernate 3.2! Want to use hibernate and mysql so I copied all jar files
concerning hibernate and mysql into this directory, but now I get:
500 HTTP Error:
Server encountered an internal error ()...
Do you know any Problems with Birt Report Viewer and Hibernate 3.2 jar
files?

When removing this files, Report Viewer starts again with:
NoClassDefFound log4j...

find all used jar files in this dir:

Christian,

I do not know of any issues. Does hibernate 3.2 use log4j?
Can you put all the hibernate files back, get the 500 error and then
look at the log file in your workspace for the error?
