Vex core api? [message #1390373] |

Hi,
I would like to use vex in a rcp app. I' ve tried it some time ago, but
due to time constraints was not able to finish it. In the meantime,
there is a higher version of vex and e.g. Eclipsehowl blog mentions a
new core api, which makes it easier to embed the widget.
So, are the articles in the eclipse magazin still valid or are they
misleading in the meantime? The same question goes for
https://github.com/ftl/vex-examples?
Or is there a new code examples/snippets or a test case to get an idea
from how to use the api.
Thanks
Kris

Hi Florian,
thanks for your reply. I think there is much interest in a solution like
vex. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many other attempts to provide an
RTE as eclipse plugin
(https://www.google.hr/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=wysiwyg+editor+eclipse&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&gfe_rd=cr&ei=JHO0U4yaH-7a8gfBl4CgCg#q=wysiwyg+editor+eclipse+rcp&rls=en).
For me, those are lets say kind of workarounds and I hope that I can
finally integrate vex in rcp based apps (Native still rules for me for
the important stuff -:).
Unfortunately it isn't so easy, as you can see in a new post from me. I
followed your advice, which was easy due to good infos in the vex wiki.
However the problem with the batik plugins is still there. Since I am no
expert for bundle resolution I will post the problem to eclipse platform
also.
Thanks
Kris
