I am setting up cvsnt (v 2.0.41a) for use with eclipse (v2.1.3). I've
read a lot of conflicting information about different settings and
successes/failures with these two, and am trying to sort it out. Our long
term plan is to convert to cvs on linux, but this may take a month or two
due to internal procedures...so please don't tell me the solution is to
convert to linux, unless that is the only solution.
specifically I've read that you must setup cvsnt to "impersonate a
unix/linux server", and you must use a "repository prefix" (this is from
the cvsnt site). On eclipse postings however, I read one post that said
that "if you use repository prefixes, you may have problems using the sync
view since CVSNT does not use prefixes in its text messages but the sync
view relies on text message parsing to determine the remote state of a
resource." and another post that said to to make it work "do NOT have the
Repository Prefix check box checked."
Can anyone shed some light on this, and/or provide configuration
recommendations.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
It appears from the CVSNT site that the newer versions of CVSNT
impersonate *nix servers properly in which case repository prefixes
should work with Eclipse.
