What is the Search icon? [message #242691] Mon, 10 December 2007 14:59 Go to next message

Not important, but I got to wondering. The Search icon has always looked
to me like the tip of a nib pen, with the tip of the pen in the northeast.
That doesn't make any sense, but it's what it has looked like. I'm
thinking maybe the intention was that it should be a flashlight, pointing
to the southwest? That makes a little more sense. As I say, not
important; I'm just curious. Does anyone know what that icon is supposed
to represent? Thanks.

To me, it looks like flashlight pointing to the lower left.
