I am confused about CVS's versions [message #242125] Tue, 04 December 2007 16:28 Go to next message

Hello there,
I was trying play with an example ( org.eclipse.gmf.examples.taipan ) which
I
downloaded from the CVS. It would not build , however.
I suspect that my version of Eclipse - 3.3.0 - is a bit outdated now and the
CVS contains newer code.
So I tried to download an older version of that example which matches my
inslallation of Eclipse.
I know that such a version should exist, because I built that example 3-4
mounts ago but
then deleted it.
But when I "Refresh Tags" only one version other than Head shows up, and
when I download it
most of the package folders are empty.
Does CVS support version at all? Can you point to a good reference on that
topic?
Where is the older code of that example (and everything else)?
Thanks,
Theo

Well examples are normally not tagged with a release so you might be out
of luck here but you are better of asking at the gmf-newsgroup anyways.
