My requirements are to run a group of 20 reports every day at 1am and save
them as rptdocuments so that over the course of the day others can render
these reports without affecting the performance of the application.
The reports are summary style reports that are run using 20 different sets
of parameters - one of which is the date range of the data. (so in essence
400 rptdocuments are created).
An additional little hurdle is that the reports must be available in
multiple languages based on the logged in user's language.
I handle the labels and headings using standard language bundles.
I have created a dataset that contains the text in all languages required.
My problem is how to dynamically switch which of the dataset columns is
visible based on the user's current language, and ensure that the table of
contents displays the correct value.
I'd rather not run the reports and save them as language specific
rptdocuments - because these are reasonably long running reports (and it
just seems wrong!).
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
