MERS [message #1351006] Mon, 12 May 2014 18:46

Hi,

As the CDC also has a report on the MERS disease in the Middle East, I just
wanted to throw in the question of other "species" in this case camels and
whether this could also be modeled with STEM at the moment:
http://www.cdc.gov/CORONAVIRUS/MERS/INDEX.HTML

Aside from Mike Milinkovich we also expect a Morocco JUG representative here
in London at a current JCP EC F2F. He represents Morocco, but is actually
from Egypt. A country not affected, but extremely close to e.g. Saudi
Arabia, so depending on transit routes (for Camels it's probably not by
plane, but should it spread from Human to Human, it would be different;-|)
Egypt is certainly within reach and risk...

Werner
