On behalf of the PMC, I'm pleased to announce the formation of the DTP
Requirements, Architecture, and Planning Councils. Membership on these
Councils is open to anyone interested. We intend to have a monthly
teleconference meeting for each in addition to discussions occurring on
the respective mailing lists.
Briefly, the purpose of each Council is:
> Requirements: To discuss requirements for DTP at a high-level with the
broadest possible community. The intention is to refine discussion down to
specific enhancement requests.
> Architecture: To insure architectural consistency within DTP and to discuss
touch-points with other Eclipse projects.
> Planning: High-level planning for both current and future DTP release
cycles. Sample topics include dependency analysis and inclusion of proposed
new components/subprojects within DTP release plans.

Announcements about the first series of teleconferences will occur on
these mailing lists early next week.
