Hi,

Is there any way to set a default editor programatically for a file or
extension. IEditorRegistry.SetDefaultEditor seems to do this but only when
using the IFile argument and in this case the file icon is not updated. If
using the method with the String argument the default editor is set only if
the filename or extension has already assigned a default editor.

Another way would be to programatically register an editor. Is this
possible?

Any help would be appreciated.
