Hi,
I'm new to the ODA framework and I need just some starting points or
references to usefull links to giude me of how to start with implemention od
ODA driver for BIRT (we need to retrieve data from Microsoft OLAP).
I know there's a set of ODA APIs one need to implement, but I don't know
where to start. And also from Eclipse IDE point of view, what should be
configured, what type of project should be created, etc.
Any help on this would be hightly appreciated.
Thanks,
Diana

Hi Diana,
An ODA overview document is available on the DTP Connectivity web page:
http://www.eclipse.org/datatools/project_connectivity/index. html
and look under the Open Data Access section.
See the "Supplied Implementation" section in the overview doc for description of
code templates that may help you get started.
For documentation reference of the ODA extension points, their schema definition
are documented in DTP on-line doc plugin, distributed as part of the DTP SDK
build. Assuming it is installed... in Eclipse IDE, Help menu -> Help
Contents. Select the "Data Tools" book, and look under Reference -> Extension
Points Reference .
