Hi

Does anybody successfully use smartfields on a mac with swt?

When I try to select an option in the selection list of a smart field with the mouse, the selection is not processed, using the keyboard (tab, arrow down, enter) works.

the same form on windows works withou any issue.

I'm using kepler.

Hi René

which version of Eclipse Scout are you using?

There seem to be a problem with focus lost events in Mac OS X. We added a Patch for Scout 3.10 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=372610. So, hopefully when you use Eclipse Scout 3.10 it should work.

3.9 - yes I saw the ting with the focus lost which should be fixed in 3.10 / 4.xx

Is this change already in the scout luna build?

If yes I would try to check with luna, whether the smartfield problem is also gone.

Hi René,

yes, the fix is already in the Luna M5 build. The bug is not closed since we have one more problem with tray icons, however the SmartField problem should be fixed.

I would love to hear if it is working on Mac now!

Hi!
Does anyone checked the bug?
I have the described problem with selecting values on Mac with exactly the described behavior (windows and keyboard works, but the dropdown field on Mac does not work)
I'm using Scout RT Version 4.0.0.20140611-1401 - which should be Luna "latest" (anyway, definitely higher than M5...)

To give some more details:

1.) Click on the "magnifier"-button only works when the text-field has the focus (the caret is in the field) - so you have to click into the field first and the you may click on the "magnifier"-button and the value list is showed

2.) You have to click twice on a value on the list to choose the value - this only works when the text-field is empty

3.) When the text-field is not empty and you choose another value, the textfield does not take the new value. so, you can choose only once! You can delete the textfield by hand (using del from the keyboard) and you can choose a new value, but you're back at point 2.

4.) Already mentioned above: clicking down and then hint enter works

5.) sometimes the proposal-list is empty instead of showing the list of values. This occurs when the value in textfield is completely marked and I try to choose another value, this fails (see 3.) and I open the list again.

Update: This is also on Scout 4.1 nightly

Can someone confirm this bug?
