Hi there.

I'm new to both eclipse and CDT, to sum it up i want to use eclipse as an
IDE to manage code in an remote AIX machine from CDT (windows). I 'own'
the code through FTP (RSE plug-in) thus i don't need a local workspace,
not very elegant but i'll work it out later on. Now i'd like to invoke the
compiler and debugger from CDT on the remote AIX machine. But right now i
can't get it to work.

I downloaded CDT 4.0.1 features which included the optional feature:
org.eclipse.cdt.xlc.feature. This feature in bundled along with the rest
of features in the 4.0.1 release, unzipped it and locally imported it. But
when i display the Help->About->Feature details i cannot see the
aforementioned xlc feature under org.eclipse.cdt neither the toolchain is
available in the new->project dialog.

May i invoke xl C in a remote computer with the xlc feature?

What am i doing wrong to import the optional xl C feature?, does CDT need
a reference to xl C am i not providing?

Thank you very much for your patience.
David

Unfortunately the 4.0.1 build was broken and the features weren't
showing up. Try the 4.0.2
