Meta-info for projects? [message #19308] Sat, 12 April 2003 10:19 Go to next message

Hi,

I apologize if this is not the correct forum to be posting this. If it
isn't, please route me to the correct newsgroup.

My question pertains to the metadata about projects. Information like
who's currently editing a project, how recently it has been edited
possible CVS version numbers, etc. Is there a way to get to this
information? I'm expecting the solution to be an API provided by
Eclipse that gives my read access to some of these data.

I am aware that .project and plugin.xml holds some of this information,
but I would like "current" information (ie. data related to users using
Eclipse now).

thanks,
Dan

BTW, I am trying this forum first because this type of information and
my goals for my project have an Aspect oriented flavor in that my
extraction and use of this data is orthogonal to other aspects of the
project.

Hi Dan,
Drawn a blank here I'm afraid - it feels like there ought to be a way to
get what you want but I don't know it! The tools forum at
news://www.eclipse.org/eclipse.tools should be able to help you.

Regards,
Adrian.
