PDE junit classpath problem [message #199809]

I have a NoClassDefFound when I try to instantiate from my x-test plugin
a class in x plugin. the x-test plugin runs fine, and has included all
(and more) of the dependencies of the x plugin. any idea what can be wrong?
I've revised some things browsing the news, but I'm pretty stuck now

It was a matter of explicitly exporting packages from the 'x' plugin
the plugin manifest editor did it fine.
