For some late feedback on the "BIRT Report Object Model - Overview" document
in the requirements. I'm very much ok with the contents, I did find some
spelling mistakes, but these are not that important. If the document would
ever be updated maybe the following corrections could be included:
p 5. "Base element: many element definitions derived from another element",
should be "Base element: many element definitions derive from another
element definition." (remove the d of derived)
p 6. "or is contains characters", should be "or it contains characters"
(change is into it)
p 7. add semi-colon behind: "... that provides the element definitions"
p 7. add semi-colon behind: "Provides a summary of the item"
p 8. "Properties are name/value pair, with", should be "Properties are
name/value pairs, with" (add s to pair)
p 8. "or a list of simple structure.", should be "or a list of simple
structures." (add s to structures)
p 8. add semi-colon behind: "the point in time defined by the script"
p 9. "For example, a sales summary report may have show a list of closed
sales", should be "For example, a sales summary report may show a list of
closed sales" (remove have)
p 9. "in the sales summary report, limit the lists to those deals in a
particular region", should probably be "in the sales summary report, limit
the lists to only those deals in a particular region" (add only)
p 10. "but a suite of related reports", should be "but of a suite of related
reports" (add of)
p 10. "speed development and reduce maintenance costs", should be "speed up
development and reduce maintenance costs" (add up)
p 14. "The master page is the mechanisme for page set". I don't understand
it in the current context: "page set"?
p 16. "or it can internal structure", should be "or it can be an internal
structure" (add "can be")
p 18. "definition element simply provide access", should be "definition
element simply provides access" (add s to provide)
p 21. key="resourceKey, should be key="resourceKey" (add a quote to the end
of the attribute value, this has to be done twice)

Sven,
Thanks for the corrections! It gets hard to see them myself after I've read
the spec a bunch of times. We'll correct these in the next revision.
