strange behaviour with selection in Debug - Breakpoints view [message #193400] |

Hi!
I realized a strange behaviour in Debug - Breakpoints view in Eclipse 3.0 /
Eclipse 3.1 concerning the selection and deselection of checkboxes. Hope I'm
in the right group here.
I have a list of let's say 15 breakpoints and my breakpoints view shows a
scrollbar, as the view is smaller than the space the breakpoints list would
require.
One breakpoint (A) in the upper part of my list is grayed (not the checkbox
but the line describing the position of the breakpoint) as I recently have
selected this line. The checked state of the according checkbox does not play
any role here.
Now I scroll down in order to see another breakpoint (Z) in the lower part
of the breakpoints list and want to enable or disable this breakpoint by
checking its checkbox.
In this situation, suddenly the list scrolls back automatically and I see
the upper part of my breakpoints list (A,B,C..) (where the grayed selection
is).
So, in order to verify, whether the selection of the breakpoint Z's checkbox
is really checked, I would have to scroll down again, which is quite
inconvenient.
I took a look at another Checkbox Viewer, and there, the problem did not
occur, that means, even if I have a list of checkboxes and my view has a
scrollbar, the focus remains at the position where I just checked a checkbox
and does not jump back to the previous (line) selection.
Best regards, Marion

Hi!
Sorry, my mistake, you're right, I installed a 3.1M4 and the problem does
not exist anymore, while it is in my 3.0 and 3.0.1 installation.
Best regards, Marion
