Help search terms invisible in MacOS [message #187932] Sun, 01 February 2004 12:14 Go to next message

I'm using Eclipse 2.1.2 Build id: 200311030802 on MacOS 10.3 (Panther).
When I use Help -> Help Contents and search for a term, Safari
highlights my search terms in white (white letters on a white background)--
in other words, the search terms are invisible, making empty gaps in
the help document. The terms really are present, because if I select
everything
they are (barely) visible in the selection.

Safari never does this anywhere else, and I haven't been able to find
an Eclipse setting to change the highlighting. I don't know if other
browsers behave the same way, because choosing a custom browser
in Window -> Preferences -> Help always results in a message that
the URL cannot be opened.

I couldn't find anything about this in the bug database, though admittedly
I'm not experienced at finding my way around in it. Can anyone help me
read help files on a Mac?

Many thanks!
Dave Matuszek

You'll need Safari 1.1.1 or newer.

The fix has only been added in 3.0M6.
