I have installed the latest release versions of Eclipse and BIRT. I added a
new Plug-in with a view to my RCP application, using the 'new plug-in'
wizard. The view shows up fine with the sample tree with the three items in
it. I then add org.eclipse.birt.core to the dependencies. (No code or
anything, I just add the dependency to plugin.xml). When I restart my
application, the view disappears. If I add multiple views, they all
disappear. When I remove the dependency on org.eclipse.birt.core, the views
all come back! (By disappear, I mean they do not show up in the 'Show View'
menu). All the views in the other plug-ins still show - it is just the
views in the plug-in which has as a dependency org.eclipse.birt.core that do
not show. No errors show in the build, logs, or anywhere.
I was wondering whether anyone else has seen this problem. If no one else
has seen it then I will see if I can get any clues by debugging into the
Eclipse code that gets the views.
