Properties File Editor [message #185891] Wed, 17 November 2004 03:17 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

can anybody tell me what specific features the Eclipse Properties File
Editor has compared to a simple text editor? There is no (i.e. I haven't
found any) documentation about this editor in the Help docs.

What I'm looking for is a feature to automatically sort all entries in a
properties file by key.

Kay.

Checkout the new and noteworthy for 3.1 M3. More stuff is currently
added like navigation from properties file editor to editor(s) where a
key is used.

There's a similar feature request for it which is currently marked as
WONTFIX:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=4321
You can vote for it if you want or even provide a patch which does this ;-).

Or, you could use this plugin:

I use it for the same purpose that you mentioned.
