Hi, is it possible to create a chart that combines a bargraph with an
overlayed line graph?
All tips apreciated.

Yes. You simply add a new series on a bar chart and change its type to Line
Series.

Thanks David,
But I don't see how that is done. If I add series to a bar graph, they are
all rendred as bars, there is no way that I can see to change one of the
series to another type of graph - the graph type applies to all series at
once!

Take a look at the attached image.
The first series is defined as a line chart and the secondary as a bar
chart.
