riena and rcp plugin [message #1481] Fri, 16 May 2008 05:00 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
hi,

i'm trying to use an rcp application with a riena server.
this rcp application was working directly with hibernate without server
so i put the hibernate/service to the riena server part plugin

so the server contains my business services
and it works fine

i've set up a test client calling a service. and it works fine

but when i import my rcp plugin in my workspace,
i have some compilation problem because of missing plugins in the target
platform (downloaded from riena wiki)

mainly ressourcePlugin, FileSystem, ui.forms, ui.editors and IDE

do you think, it can work if i copy these plugins from another eclipse
directory ??

tia

Hi David,

you can add more plugins to the target platform as needed. The platform that we supply is based on Eclipse 3.3. So its
probably a code choice to your own plugings also from Eclipse 3.3. Other than that, there should be no problem at all.

Try it and if there are problems, let me know.
