Websphere and birt [message #181638] Tue, 01 August 2006 18:18 Go to next message

Hi, I'm trying to use birt on a websphere 6.0 server. I don't install the
birt runtime as a webapp, but rather have incorporated it into our webapp
directory in the project. This is working fine for us in tomcat, but once
we moved to websphere we're having some jar issues. It seems as the
js.jar from birt conflicts with the one used in websphere. The version
used in websphere is an older verison (surprise surprise). I've read up
in it a little bit and have seen some suggestions to set the classloader
policy to parent_last, which I tried, but that had no effect. Has anyone
experienced a similar problem? Any solutions or ideas to try?

Thanks in advance

Did you set EAR classloader or WAR classloader to parent_last? Try changing
both to parent_last. Other solution is to replace websphere's js.jar with
newer one (the one that comes with BIRT).
