MyEclipse Enterprise Workshop 2.0 - Early Access 1



Genuitec has released MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench v2.0, Early Access 1.

MyEclipse EW is a continuation of Genuitec's strategy to improve J2EE
application development productivity. Early Access 1 (EA1) is the first in
a series of upcoming releases to provide significant J2EE development and
delivery tools based on the Eclipse 2.1 platform. The EA1 focus is J2EE web
application development. EA2+ will provide tooling for EJB development and
deployment.



EA1 Features Include:

- JSP editor with color syntax highlighting, scriptlet and tag completion,
and syntax validation

- Editors for HTML with code completion, XML, and CSS

- Customizable wizards for creation of Web Projects, JSPs, Servlets,
Applets, and HTML documents

- Java Project to a Web Project conversion wizard

- Application server integration for: JBoss, Weblogic versions 6-8,
WebSphere 4, and Oracle AS/Orion.

- Application server start, stop, hot-swap debugging of EJBs and servlets

- Integrates seamlessly with the Eclipse environment as a product extension

- Commercial installer minimizes install/uninstall complexity



Planned EA2 Features (June) Include:

- Native JSP debugging

- EJB creation and development wizards

- WAR, EJB, and EAR packaging and deployment

- Tomcat integration

- WebSphere 5 integration

- J2EE perspective and views
