| Is there any way to get a list of modified resources? [message #15763] | Wed, 18 July 2007 06:06 | |

 Hello all!

I have a question about a feature that would really be nice to have for me.

Suppose I work on the resolution of a bug. This bug is a task coming
from a query. I activate it, a new change set is created by Mylyn and I
can see all the changes I made to my resources in the Team Synchronizing
 view. Perfect!

 BUT...

Now I want to resolve the bug and add a comment about what I have done.
I would like to attach the names of all the resources I modified: a copy
'n' paste of the contents of the change set structure in the Synchronize
view would be enough (of course, in this way I would have to add the
 comment before committing ;-))
Is there any way of doing this?

(Unfortunately, the Edit => Copy contextual action copies just the name
of the currently selected element in the change set structure to the
 clipboard, not the entire structure.)

In other words: is there any way to extract the information about which
resources I modified while working on a task? Attaching the context to
the bug report is not what I need in this case, because some modified
files could have been removed from the context.

 Thanks in advance.
 Mauro.

| Eclipse User | | | | | Yup, this has been requested before:
175765: Add commit comment template variable for modified files
 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=175765

Please vote for that bug, and note that it is marked "helpwanted" which
means that we are seeking a community contribution from someone
interested enough in this feature to provide it.

 Cheers,

 Mik
