Hi there!

I just switched from Eclipse 2.1.x to 3.0 final (Win XP).

I copied the whole "workspace" into new eclipse -- is that right?

Starting programs inside Eclipse a dialog window pops with the
message "!CompileErrorPromptStatusHandler.1". What does this mean?

thanx!
Marcus

No, it is not, workspaces contain information that is specific to a
given version of eclipse.
I is strongly recommended to create a new workspace for each version of
eclipse that you install and import projects from older workspaces with
the Import feature.

All sorts of incomprehensible errors might popup by taking a workspace
from an eclipse version to an other.

Hope this helps.

So I have to delete ".metadata" and do File/Import "Existing Project
into Workspace"?

Using a 2.1 workspace with 3.0 should work fine.
back the other way is not supported.

I just found out that a plugin (MyEclipse) is causing the problem.

thanx!
