Where's my Database Manager ? [message #165876] Tue, 04 April 2006 14:33

Hello,
As of this morning, I'm new to WebTools and started logically with the
RDB Tutorial. I opened the Database Explorer and launched the Connection
Wizard. I wanted to connect to my Microsoft Access test database with Sun's
generic JdbcOdbcDriver class so that I could play around with the Server
Explorer and complete the RDB Tutorial.

But the Connection Wizard's database managers has a limited list of database
managers (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and there's no generic database
manager. And whatever I choose as database manager, the "Test Connection"
succeeds, but that's the furthest that I can go because I can't get the
Server Explorer to show (it's not in "Show View").

Anybody can give me a hint?

Sebastien
