Can anyone refresh my memory on something?
I vaguely remember that one of the older versions of the Commons FileUpload
jar needs to be somewhere in Tomcat (4.1.24) for Eclipse's (2.1.1) own use
(as opposed to use by applications). Is that correct? (I'm not sure why
Eclipse would need to do FileUploads so maybe I'm just wrong from the
start....) If it is, which version of the jar (commons-fileupload.jar,
commons-fileupload-1.0-beta-1.jar, or commons-fileupload-1.0.jar) does
Eclipse need and where should it be?
My best guess is that commons-fileupload.jar needs to be in
$CATALINA_HOME\server\lib for the use of Eclipse and
commons-fileupload-1.0.jar (the newest version) needs to be in
$CATALINA_HOME\commons\lib for use of applications. However, this doesn't
work and I've gone around in circles for hours trying different jars and
placements of the jars without finding a combination that works so I hope
you can set me straight on the right thing to do.
I am planning on having at least two servlets in two distinct contexts that
each need to do file uploads so I assume that putting the Commons Fileupload
jar in \shared\lib or common\lib is the right thing to do. Please correct me
if I'm wrong!
