the library that comes with 'Thinking In Java, 4th ed' (TIJ) is a folder
of .class files (not a .jar) and I need my classes in my eclipse project
to reference these with 'import net.mindview.util.*'.

how do I do that?

I've highlighted a project in the 'Package Explorer' and gone
Projects>Properties>Java Build Path>Libraries-tab. Since my library is a
folder with .class files, I should think I should click 'Add class folder'
but that only gives my tickable choises for projects already in the
Package Explorer.

does anyone know how to do this right?

/christian

Eclipse v 3.1.2
Mac OS X 10.4
PS: The TIJ library is in ~/Java i.e. outside the eclipse workspace.
