There is no official "Export to Excel" option yet.

However, someone did create a 'plugin' that enables "Exporting to Excel".

This site contains info & instructions for getting that to work:
http://qauck.blogspot.com/

It is still in development and the results are hit or miss (some quirky
formatting, data overlapping multiple columns, etc). Feel free to try it
out for yourself though. I believe a new version is on the way. Also,
the BIRT Viewer has the option to export a single dataset to .csv.
Alternatively, you can interact directly with the BIRT API in a JAVA
program to do your own .csv exporting. Read the "IDataExtractionTask"
section on:
http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/deploy/reportEngineAPI.p hp

This is also the bugzilla entry for this request. No responses since
2005-06-07 though:
