How does editor link to contentoutline [message #162710]

Hi

When an editor subpart is entered how does the editor determine which
treeNode to select in the contentOutline?

I've checked through the source code for
views/editors/markers/contentoutline I havent found anything I dont know
if I'm overlooking something.

There's no generic hook/way. The Java outline for example gets updated
by the editor.
