What plugins do I need to make it work? I suppose ATL, but is it
compatible with the new version of ATL for ganymede or do I have to get
 the old one?

That will be really nice to be able to download a working installation
with all the plugins needed. I've read somewhere (I think in the tmf
provposal) that TCS has been proven successful in an industrial context.
I find it odd since it is hard not even to use but to install.

As I liked ATL and found the concept of creating an injector and an
extractor at the same really great I was looking forward to using TCS
but since it seems such a choar to make it work I think I will focus on
 Xtext instead.

I've created a TCS project. But when I try to run the injector ant task
in this default project (whithout having changed anything), it fails
 with the following error :

 Buildfile: D:\eclipseTCS\workspaceTCS\Test\injector.xml
 injection:
 BUILD FAILED
 D:\eclipseTCS\workspaceTCS\Test\injector.xml:21: Problem: failed to
 create task or type am3.loadModel
 Cause: The name is undefined.
 Action: Check the spelling.
Action: Check that any custom tasks/types have been declared.
Action: Check that any <presetdef>/<macrodef> declarations have taken place.

I've installed AM3. And am3.loadModel is registered in my ant tasks.

 Hi,

I am new to TCS myself, so no warranty.

I usually have the AMMACore and AMMAScripts project checked out in my
workspace, and I believe that's how they were referenced. I am not sure
 whther that ever got changed.

As it says on the TCS language project site:

 Checking out the Required Projects

The first step is to check out the AMMAScripts, and AMMACore projects in
your workspace, if you do not have them already.

To do this, you can connect anonymously by CVS to repository
/cvsroot/technology on server dev.eclipse.org using the pserver protocol.
Then, you can checkout the two projects available in
 org.eclipse.gmt/org.eclipse.gmt.tcs/scripts/.

NB: Some external libraries are required, please refer to the README.txt
file in the AMMAScripts project for more details.

| Eclipse User | | | | | Thibault,
 Thank you for your answer.

Please note that using AMMACore + AMMAScripts is now obsolete (see
 http://wiki.eclipse.org/TCS/Language_Project).

Because Joe is apparently using the plugin builder, this does not seem
to be the problem that he reported.

| Eclipse User | | | | | Joe,
You may simply use the context menu action to inject and extract your files.

Should you need to use the ant scripts (injector.xml and extractor.xml),
then you would need to configure their launch following the AM3 Ant
 Tasks documentation: http://wiki.eclipse.org/AM3_Ant_Tasks.

According to the error message you mention, it seems that you have not
specified that the scripts must run in the same JRE (see
 http://wiki.eclipse.org/AM3_Ant_Tasks#Launching_an_Ant_file_ with_AM3_tasks_in_an_Eclipse_workbench).

| Eclipse User | | | | | Hi Jouault,
Even using the instructions updated on the page, the task of installing
the TCS is not so easy. After a week of attempts to install I found a
file lost in the net (I don't found any reference to it)
 (http://www.sciences.univ-nantes.fr/lina/atl/www/tcsdemo/). Now I use
Eclipse Modeling Tools Ganymede and simple extract files in archive and
install the plugin by p2 installer of Eclipse 3.4.
