I tried to go the forums for PHP Eclipse and they are not working. Can
someone tell me why the code parser doesn't know how to see the difference
between HTML and PHP? Can this be fixed?

?? Eclipse.tools.php for me says there are 21 new messages there since
this weekend... so it appears to be working for many of us! Is that the
"forums for PHP Eclipse" you were referring to? Web-based? or through a
reader? (I'm going through Thunderbird...) Works for me.

Sorry, I don't have anything on your actual question, just admitting
that that is probably the more likely place to get the question answered.

The PHP Eclipse forums are separate from the eclipse.tools.php
newsgroup... the "PHP IDE for Eclipse" project is entirely separate from
the PHPEclipse project. Ask a question on eclipse.tools.php about
PHPEclipse and you'll get a fast reply telling you to scat ;)

My PHPEclipse v1.1.8 install with default syntax options is able to
properly recognize and syntax-highlight all the HTML tags that I put in
my .php files.

Are you editing .html files instead of .php files, and expecting the
<?php?> sections to be recognized by the HTML Editor?

Strange. I opened and closed the editor and it started working. I like
eclipse, but it seems a bit flaky. Maybe it's just PHPEclipse, which is all
i use.
