Hi all,
is there a way to enable assertions by default when "Run..."-ning
programs from within eclipse?

I know that I can add a "-enableassertions" in the VM arguments field
on the arguments tab of an application's Run config., but that's than
only valid for that particular applications (or actually only that
particular Run-setup). What I am looking for is to enable assertions
by default for ALL programs being run (or debugged) via eclipse.

In the latest 3.0 builds:
Window>Preferences>Java>Installed JRES>Edit
You can set Default VM Arguments for each installed JRE
