Report-Layout dependent on Subtype [message #154026] Tue, 18 April 2006 03:51 Go to next message

Hallo,

I'm trying to build one report for a bulk of Objects, which only differs
little because they share the same supertype.

My intention is to build one report where the little differences between
the objects is reflected in a little change in the layout design. So I'm
looking for possibilities to do that.

Yes, I've found the "Hide Element" option, but how to stack 5 tables on
each other, so that only one is shown at a time?

Thanks in advance.
Uwe

May be the "Hide Element" option is all I need.
But the expected behaviour is that the hidden element doesn't consume any
white space (in PDF), but that's not the case in BIRT 2.0.1 (itext 1.3).

Is this a bug in BIRT or itext?
