I'm a new Eclipse user using PHP and working on Windows XP SP2. I've
installed Eclipse 3.1.2 and the PHPEclipse plugin along with the DBG
listener. I've been trying to get the debugger working, but it still isn't
showing variables or stopping at breakpoints. I've found a lot of
discussion about getting this plugin working, but as usual the
instructions are a bit fragmented and contradictory. So, I had two
questions. First, has anyone installed this plugin and got it working and
if so, what set of instructions did you use? Second, I've come across a
couple of posts advising people with this problem to delete the
configuration directory under the eclipse directory and then restart
eclipse. When I try this, I get an error:
!MESSAGE Application error
!STACK 1
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to acquire application service.
Thanks in advance and help!
