CVS operations hang Microsoft XP VPN Client [message #149234] Fri, 24 October 2003 16:49 Go to next message

Has anyone run into a problem using eclipse to access a cvs server across
a VPN using the Microsoft XSR VPN client for XP? I just switched to it
today from a different VPN client and found that after a couple of CVS
operations that succeed, one will hang and timeout, after which time all
network operations will fail (ie access to my corporate email, web, etc)
until I stop and restart the VPN client.

I tried doing a few cvs commands outside of eclipse and didn't see the
problem.

Any thoughts???

What Eclipse version and connection method are you using? There have
been problems with some network drivers in past versions of Eclipse but
the problems should be fixed in 3.0.
