Problem with changing attributes in the diagram [message #148999] Wed, 05 September 2007 07:16 Go to next message

Hello,

My problem is that I have some objects inside my diagram and if I change
the attribute "name" inside the figure it works. But if I try to change
another attribute it does not work. I can change it, but the changes wont
be accepted after pressing Return. It is no problem to change it in the
properties view. The changes are possible and immediately displayed in the
diagram.

What do I have to change to fix this? I know its my fault, because in the
other graphical editors it is possible.

Thank you in advance.

Malte

Hi Malte,

maybe you don't have a label mapping for those attributes. Just
compare what you have modeled for your name attribute and those other
attributesin gmfgraph and gmfmap.
Maybe you get more clues then.

Cheers,
Nicolai

Thanks four you help.

The mapping is ok, because the label is displayed correct and it changes
after I changed the value inside the property tab. The only difference
between attribute name and other attributes is the data type. "name" is a
EString and the other are EInteger objects.

After I changed the datatype to simple integer it works. So Objects data
types are not changeable like Integer objects, but int variables are.
Shall I submit this as a bug?

Since the behavior you get is weird, a bug report is appropriate, I
think.
