IOException When Launching Appplication (Eclipse 3.1RC2+) [message #147924] Fri, 01 July 2005 10:12 Go to next message

There seems to be an issue with Eclipse 3.1RC2 and higher when launching a
C/C++ application. The program seems to run just fine except that I don't
see any console output from it in the console view. In the .log file in
my workspace I see an IOException was thrown with a message "The handle is
invalid." I am guessing that there is a timing issue that has appeared in
something that was changed in Eclipse 3.1RC2 (3.1RC1 works fine). I've
filed a bug on it here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=102043.

I would be curious to see if anyone else has been able to reproduce this.
I have only been able to test this on WinXP/SP2 so far...

I hate to reply to my own post, but I'm a bit suprised that I'm the only
one that seems to be effected by this bug. Could someone do me a favor
and at least verify this issue? So far I've been able to reproduce it on
two Windows XP SP2 machines (both using Eclipse 3.1 final with various
versions of the CDT). I'd be curious to know if this also occurs on Linux
or other OSes.
