Is there any official statement?
The roadmap is very out of date. Is a official release in progress or
nearly finished or is the visual editor project canceled?
Who are the actual commiters? Is there any way to contact them?

Last I checked there were 2 (maybe 3) actual active committers: Phillipe
, Yves, and maybe Gili.
Seems however that they've been moved to "inactive", however:

Basically, the project is in need of ressurrection.
Are you offering your assistance as a developer (contributor/committer)?
Or are you just looking to use VE as an end-user?

Hi Nick,
thank you for your information.
Basically I'm an enduser who want to use ve for my current projects.
However, I can imagine to support the project as developer but
the resurrection can't be done on my own.

project recently, so I left out VE for some while. Please contact me if you
