As we know the CDT is broken down into several components as CDT
framework, CDT Editor etc. Is it possible that the CDT editor from the CDT
framework could be replaced by some other editor(providing more feature
like SlickEdit) and other components of the CDT (e.g. CDT debug, CDT
Launch etc.)be retained.

If yes, has someone done it? Any pointers?
