| Log and Trace Analyzer in TPTP 4.6 [message #143320] | Mon, 20 July 2009 08:33 | |
| Eclipse User | | | | | Hi,
Is Log and Trace Analyzer feature removed from TPTP 4.6 on onwards? I do
not find "File" under "File->Import->Profiling and Logging". For example
if I want to import a CBE format log file, how do I do it in TPTP 4.6. Is
there an equivalent functionality in TPTP 4.6 to analyze logs? We
developed some custom adapters to import our application logs into
"Profiling and Logging" perspective for analysis. Now I do not find this
feature available. Can any one give more details and point to
documentation where it says that this feature is removed (if it is
 removed).

 Regards,
 Krishna

Yes, I tried installing TPTP 4.4.0.2 in Eclipse 3.5, EMF 2.5 and XSD 2.5.
I did not get the "Profiling and Logging" perspective. I tried it with
both jre 1.5 and 1.6. Then I tried installing TPTP 4.4.0.2 in Eclipse 3.5,
EMF 2.3 and XSD 2.3. Tried with jre 1.5 and 1.6. Still same result.

We are looking for ways to support our application even if it involves
slight changes. Please let me know if there is any?

Is CBE format still supported in TPTP? I see "Native Logging" application
on TPTP 4.6 page which writes CBE formatted files. How is it useful if
these file cannot be imported for log analysis?

 Thanks for your help.

 Regards,
 Krishna
