help: mac OSX: no debugger available message [message #139463] Wed, 23 February 2005 08:35

I am a new user of Eclipse CDT. I like this IDE with the exception of
two things, one minor but the other one major.

The major problem is that I cannot debug anything. I get a message
saying that

[Debugger]: No debugger available

in the Create, manage, and run configurations dialog.

I use the latest CTD 2.1. I tried with the automatic installation and
also with the manual installation of CDT and the same thing happens.

gdb works fine from the command line. I have Mac OSX Panther.

The minor thing is that when I type long linker or compile settings
(miscellaneous) they run off the text box, pretty annoying because I am
unable to edit the text afterwards.

Thanks for any suggestion,

Matei
