Hello.
I am experimenting problems with Eclipse 3.0M6 and the debugger: source code
does not go on on step-by-step execution after a breakpoint (the execution
proceeds, but the code view is not syncronized to show the code going on).
I'm not an expert of eclipse (I come from JBuilder).
Am I doing something wrong or is just Eclipse 3.0M6 not working with the
debug?
1. I tried to debug a simple java application and Eclipse does his job
gorgeously.
2. I tried to debug a web application using sysdeo tomcat plugin. In this
case the debugger stopped to work: while debug goes on the code window is
not updated with the istruction pointer on the code view. Also context menus
do not fully work on the debug view (open declaring type, open declaring
type hierarchy). Double click on stacktrace does nothing.
It may be that this is a problem of the plugin, but, it can also be a jdt
problem (maybe).
In attach the spike I used to debug with sysdeo tomcat plugin. (Tomcat
4.1.29)
I also use following plug-ins:
- Harish Kataria 's JSEdit Plug-in 1.0.1
- Marcel Randallco Palko 's Hex Editor Plug-in 0.0.4
- Sysdeo Tomcat Plugin 2.2.1
I hope the don't mine the JDT.
Thanks for your audience and support.
I think I'll try to understand where's the problem, re-installing eclipse
and doing some tests in a clean environment.
Have a nice day.
