Can the language of the report designer gui be changed? In my case it is
german by default. It is often difficult to discuss about BIRT
features without knowing the english naming.

Paul,

If you're using windows XP, go to the control panel and then into "Regional
and Language Options" (or whatever that would be in German). From there,
you should be able to choose English (United States). This doesn't seem to
work perfectly, but it enables a little icon on the right of your toolbar
that you can use to switch between English and German. Just make sure it is
set to English before you open BIRT.

I think that should work. I think I remember that Windows 2000 has a very
similar function, too.

I already tried that but BIRTs language isn't affected by this (under
Windows 2000).
