Conforming To UI Guidelines [message #132739] Sat, 28 January 2006 09:01 Go to next message

These questions arise from reading the ui guidelines

1. The UIG illustrates three color pallettes for icon painting.
Where can they be found for use in an icon editor?

2. The UIG recommends reuse of eclipse's core concept icons.
How can they be accessed from java?

Bill

Hello Bill,

I'm using GIMP to make my own icons.
I created a palette as specified in:
http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.platform/msg34 277.html

brgds,

Henk.

Henk,
this is a followup. The suggested procedure worked, but
the placement of color cells in the captured palette
was scrambled, i.e. not the same placement as cells
in the source palette-image. Is there a way to preserve
color cell placement?

Bill.

Do a search for ISharedImages interface. There's a couple of different ones
in different packages. They provide access to those resources.
