when opening or creating a dataset, birt "hangs" for about 5 minutes. [message #132377]

Eclipse User

Im using eclipse 3.1.1 and birt 2.0.0 with all the correct verions of the
other stuff. It works, it just takes 5 minutes every time I open a data
set.

A friend had the same problem when he was using myeclipse, and when he
switched to 3.1.1 or normal eclipse the problem went away for him.

The datasource is an oracle thin driver to a large db with about 500 tables
and 500 schemas (although all the tables are in 2 schemas).

Any Ideas?
