JSP Plugin [message #125882] Tue, 26 July 2005 11:39 Go to next message

I installed the Structured Source JSP Model plugin which includes
org.eclipse.jst.jsp.core and org.eclipse.jst.jsp.ui.
After installation I started Eclipse with -clean. If I open "About Eclipse
Plugins", it shows up as being installed.

The problem that I am having is that Eclipse doesn't seem to recognize .jsp
files. If I open an existing jsp there is no highlighting. If I go to
File->New->Other, I can't find where to create a new jsp file.

I'm using Eclipse SDK 3.1.0 on Win2K.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
-Dan

Hi Dan,

Are there any entries in your workspace log? (WORKSPACE/.metadata/.log)
Did you install all the prerequisite plugins for the JSP plugins?

Hi Lawrence,

There are a number of entries in my .log file, but nothing pertaining to
JSP's. I installed all of the prerequisites and ran eclispe with -clean the
first time.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
-Dan

Did you install the WST as well? The JSP plugins have significant
requirements within WTP in addition to WTP's requirements.
